Happy July! And guess what – summer has finally reached my neck of the woods! We had our usual gathering of friends and family at my house for the Fourth of July, but beyond that, I’m looking forward to a relaxing month. And in the meantime, the July block of the Perfect HST BOM has dropped!
This month’s HST BOM block is Rambling Star. This one is named after the street I grew up on in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Well, the street was actually “Ramblewood” but for some reason Ramblewood sounded like a weird name for a block to me, so I shortened it to “Rambling.” LOL.
I had a pretty standard suburban upbringing, but summer in particular brings back long days of old-school fun with neighbors and friends. We rode bikes, swam in the pool, and roamed the area at will. I wouldn’t trade those years for anything! Rambling Star is all my childhood memories wrapped into one little quilt block. : )
